Not to say anything bad about the Porsches that were also on display at the very first Actinia Open golf tournament, but the Audi RS brand really ‘stole the whole show’. As mentioned, we were hosting an ‘invite only’ golf tournament at the beautiful Cubo Golf Smlednik last Saturday. We named it Actinia Open 2021 and it was a breath of fresh air, positivity and enjoyment in the midst of the whole pandemic negativity.

The turnout was amazing and so was the energy throughout the whole day. Together with our partners Belmond and Slowatch, we held this event to the highest standards, with great food, great drinks and of course even better company. Winners of the tournament took home a lot more than just good memories, but even those who didn’t win the competition had a blast and assured us, that we will see eachother on the next years Actinia Open 2022.

”No Actinia event is complete without great cars, especially Porsches. But this time, Audi RS got the lead.”
But no story of any kind of Actinia event is complete without mentioning some cars, and boy do we have something to tell. Just for this event we put together a wide variety of exciting cars, ranging from luxury hybrid limousine in the form of Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, to the roofless sportscar in the form of Porsche 911 Cabrio. But the main stars of the show were the brand new Audi RS models, which we brought all the way from Austria, just for the display at the tournament. We knew that the Audis will be interesting, but we had no idea that the people would love them soo much. We are, of course, talking about the latest Audi RS6 Avant, Audi RSQ8 SUV and the main star of the Actinia Open 2021 – the brand new Audi RS E-Tron GT, which was parked right next to its sibling, the Porsche Taycan.

”With much meaner looks, quattro all wheel drive and 600 Horsepower under its bonnet, Audi RS6 is as relevant as ever!”
There was no denying that Audi RS6 Avant is still the ultimate family wagon, which in its latest iteration got meaner looks and a powerful 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8, which puts out a massive 600 HP and 800 Nm of torque. That is enough to outpace most supercars on the damp dragstrip, and to offer a limited top speed of 305 km/h. It is hard to fault this Audi RS6. Some might prefer a more raised seating position and even more room in the cabin, where the new Audi RSQ8 comes into play.

Built on the same platform as the Lamborghini Urus, and using roughly the same powertrain with just 50 HP less, Audi RSQ8 really is something special. You could also call it Audi RS6+ for those not in favor of low seating position, or a ‘budget’ Lamborghini as it cost, give or take, 100.000€ less than the mighty Urus. Still not cheap though.
What about the newest, and also the most powerful member of the Audi RS family? Electric Audi RS E-Tron GT, parked next to a Porsche Taycan whith whoom it shares almost everything, was really a beautifull sight. Almost 650 electric horsepower can provide a dash from 0 to 100km/h in just over 3 seconds and a limited top speed of 250 km/h. That coupled with a maximum range of 450 kilometers and great looks tight this thing up into one really compelling package. Taycan surely has its work cut out.
As the Actinia Open, all the cars will be back as they are joining our fleet later this year, so stay tuned for more information or just email us at info@actinia.si
